Coffee use to be my jam. The smell, the experience going into a cute coffee shop, I loved everything about it. Except the high acidity and inflammation it would bring to my body and the negative impact it had on my mood. After years of being a coffee drinker, it took a full year to convert to matcha.
I was looking for something that would lower inflammation and improve my mood, while still enjoying some caffeine in the morning. You can read more about the benefits of matcha green tea here.
Here's how to make my healthy and delicious, dairy free matcha latte:
1 cup hot water or nondairy milk of your choice
1/2 tsp to 1 tsp of ceremonial grade matcha powder (depending on how much caffeine you want. I usually start with 1/2 tsp.)
dash of a dairy free creamer, like the ones from NutPods to add flavor
put all ingredients into a blender (this is the one I use & it makes fantastic smoothies!) and pulse for 5 seconds
You'll have a creamy and delicious latte to start your day!
